(Jefferson County, 1929- ) An advocate for women’s and children’s rights, Dolores Delahanty’s history of public service in Kentucky includes over four decades of leadership and activism. Ms. Delahanty’s involvement in the early civil rights movement spawned her passion for women’s participation in leadership roles and elected office. She was instrumental in the passage of Kentucky’s Fair Credit Law and was a founding member of the National Women’s Political Caucus.
